Movie Reviews: (500) Days of Summer, Pandorum, & New Moon

	(500) Days of Summer Every once in awhile Ill really get into a romantic comedy. I know weird right? For example, I am a huge fan of Garden State. This time the surprise hit for me is (500) Days of Summer. There is a ton to love here: its Tarintino style cuts, great cast, great story, and very funny laugh out loud humor. Not to mention it really isnt a love story more of a real take on relationships. But I wont ruin it for you. A definite must see of the year.
	Pandorum I love scifi so the premise of this was promising to me. I also really like Quaid who is quite good in this. But it was mostly a disappointment. More horror not a lot of scifi. Think Aliens meets The Decent. Cool idea and twist at the end that I definitely didn’t see coming makes this a worthy one time watch.
	The Twilight Saga: New Moon Unfortunately just like the first one this really isn’t my cup of tea. I go to these films out of the goodness of my heart … being a good husband. Still this film wasn’t horrible. Definitely watchable. Not enough action for me though. Too me … a non fan … I wasn’t quite as entertained as I was in the first film.

Movie Reviews: Funny People & 2012

	Funny People This is right in the middle of Apatow films. Its not great like Knocked Up but its still really good. The humor is stretched a little more thin then his previous movies. There is still a lot of raunchy comedy in this thing though. Sandler and Rogen are really good. Definitely worth a watch.
	2012 This is a hard one to review. Sure its cliche and extremely corny at times but what giant disaster flick isn’t. The special effects are top notch and the acting isn’t half bad. Still not as good as Emmerich’s Independence Day but way better than his horrible last film 10,000 BC. Anyways … this is a good one time see or rent.

Movie Reviews: The Goods & I Love You Beth Cooper

	The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard Surprisingly funny for an R rated movie which kind of slipped under the radar. This is very raunchy humor but the laughs really come over and over again throughout the entire movie. I love the Will Ferrel cameo. This is great fun, with a great cast.
	I Love You Beth Cooper What a horrible disaster of a movie. First of all I really dont think they knew what they were trying to make here. Is it a raunchy teen comedy like superbad? Is it a clean teen comedy with a point? The answer for both questions: not really. Extremely boring is the best way to describe this. Hayden Panettiere is hot and with good material could be a great actress later on but this isn’t worth your time. Skip I Love You Beth Cooper!

And this is one of my favorite horror movies since Blair Witch but Blair Witch is sooo much better and so much more believable which is the real killer of this film. Still for such a low budget film it really is amazing how good it is compared to the billion dollar crap hollywood calls horror movies. Definitely a must see but don’t buy into the hype. Not as good as everyone says it is.

Movie Reviews: A Perfect Getaway & Law Abiding Citizen

	A Perfect Getaway I really like Milla Jovovich and Steve Zahn. Especially Zahn who is freakin hilarious. But this film really wasn’t as good as I hoped it would be. Gets boring towards the end … and the big twist … well it really isn’t that great.

	Law Abiding Citizen This is one good flick. Awesome story! Great cast! Not exactly for the faint of heart. Some pretty gruesome themes here but a definite must see. The only draw back was the believability and crappy ending. This could have been a masterpiece.

	The Ugly Truth Not particularly bad but nothing really new. Some parts are laugh out loud funny but the story is nothing new. This is an R rated comedy so it does have a lot of raunchy comedy.

Making Strawberry Pizza !!! :)

Akia and I made some Strawberry Pizza today. If you don’t know what it is then here is the recipe and some pictures. We had fun and the pizza was amazing!

Ingredients:

(1) 16oz Roll Sugar Cookie Dough
(1) lb Strawberries (Fresh or Frozen)
(1) 16oz Strawberry Glaze
(1) 16oz Cream Cheese Frosting
(1) 8″ Tin Foil Pizza Pan

Instructions:

• Press cookie dough into tin pan so that no part of the bottom of the pan is showing. Let cookie dough set for 5-10 min. so it is easier to spread into pan.

• Bake cookie dough according to cookie dough directions. We used our pizza turner!

• While the dough is cooking, you can make your strawberry topping. Slice and mix strawberries with strawberry glaze. Put in Fridge until ready to use.

• Let cookie dough cool for 20-30 min after baking.
• Once cookie dough is cool spread frosting evenly across the top.

• Next, spread strawberry filling across the top and then you are done! Yum!
